SDL Xopus is op zoek naar echte developers!

Xopus is de vriendelijke browser-based “What You See is What You Get” XML editor en wordt wereldwijd dagelijks door duizenden gebruikers ingezet voor het schrijven van gestructureerde documenten. Met gebruik van hardcore JavaScript, intelligente XSL en de betere schema definities verbergen we de achterliggende technische complexiteit voor de eindgebruiker. Met inzicht in de vraag van de klant in plaats van het snelle antwoord zoeken we altijd  naar de beste oplossing en werken we aan een klantgericht eindresultaat. Werken aan Xopus is een uitdaging waarbij we ons richten op simpele en elegante oplossingen voor complexe problemen.

Xopus is volledig geschreven in Javascript. Om dat mogelijk te maken hebben we het Xopus Application Framework ontwikkeld dat voorziet in (multiple) inheritance, class level decoration, event handling, packaging, unit testing en nog veel meer. De Xopus user interface is volledig functional reactive waardoor enkel het hoogst noodzakelijke aangepast wordt als de applicatie state verandert. Onderliggend aan dit functional reactive framework ligt een task scheduler die een pseudo multi threading in Javascript mogelijk maakt. Xopus is een prachtig staaltje software ontwerp en zit vol met dit soort technische juweeltjes.

In ons team van stille programmeurs, praatgrage integrators en testers maken we gebruik van Scrum, waarbij we ieders input waarderen en iedereen verantwoordelijk is voor het resultaat. ’s Middags lunchen we gezellig met het hele team in onze keuken in hartje Den Haag, waar ons kantoor gevestigd is.

Xopus is the friendly browser-based “What You See is What You Get” XML editor and thousands of people all over the world use it to write structured documents every day. With the use of hardcode JavaScript, intelligent XSL, and excellent schema definitions we hide complexity from end users. With the question of the client in mind, rather than a quick answer, we are always looking for the best solution and create an editing environment that suits their needs. Working at Xopus is challenging and requires simple and elegant solutions for complex problems.

Xopus is completely written in Javascript. To make that possible we have developed the Xopus Application Framework which supports (multiple) inheritance, class level decoration, event handling, packaging, unit testing and much more. The Xopus user interface is completely functional reactive to make sure only the necessary parts of the UI are modified when the application state changes. This functional reactive framework is supported by a pseudo multi threading task scheduler. Xopus is a beautiful piece of software engineering and contains many of these technical jewels.

In our team of quiet programmers, talkative integrators and testers we use the Scrum method. Everyone’s input is appreciated and we are all responsible for the final result. In the afternoon we have lunch with the whole team in our kitchen in the heart of Den Haag, where our offices are located.
