hide element choice?

Our XSD allows a choice of three elements. Recently one was renamed.

We'd like to avoid re-writing all our XML documents to use the new element name.

Is it possible to continue to allow both the old and new names, but simply not show the old element as a choice in the selection list in Xopus?

Yes, assign the role "hidden-from-ui" to the old element.
