When items in menu are disabled, however shortcut keys can be used. It's a big problem for users that use a lot keyboard.
For example, for some elements, Cut and Delete menu items are grayed but the user can use Cltr+X and Delete keys. What can we do to prevent that? |

I am not sure what you mean. I can understand that elements show that they cannot be deleted or cut, but I can't see that using Ctrl+X would then remove the element.
Ctrl+X will work on the current selection or cursor. Delete does this also. Using Delete will remove elements, but it will not create an invalid XML. The options in the status bar menu refer to the elements, not the selection. Can you explain what you mean more exactly? |
